Microdosing in Nature

Nature

Have you ever considered taking your microdosing practice into the great outdoors? There’s something truly magical about combining the subtle effects of psilocybin with the raw beauty of nature.

Colours are brighter, smell is heightened, sound has another texture to it and our nervous system loves all of it.

The Ancient Connection

Psilocybin, our beloved compound found in magic truffles, has a rich history of use in various cultures for deepening one’s connection with nature. When we microdose in natural settings, we’re not just trying something new – we’re tapping into an ancient practice that has the potential to profoundly impact ou r well-being.

Why Nature and Microdosing are a Perfect Match

Enhanced Sensory Perception

Imagine the world turned up to 11. That’s what microdosing in nature can feel like. The colours of flowers become more vibrant, the melody of birdsong more intricate, and the texture of tree bark under your fingers more fascinating than ever before.

It’s like nature is whispering its secrets directly to you.

Mindfulness on Steroids (Natural Ones, Of Course!)

Being in nature already promotes mindfulness, but add a microdose to the mix. You’ve got a recipe for presence that’s hard to beat.

You might find yourself fully immersed in the moment, noticing details you’ve walked past a hundred times before.

Emotional Resilience in the Wild

We all know nature has a calming effect on our nervous system. Now, pair that with the emotional buoyancy often reported with microdosing.

The result?

A powerful tool for managing stress and anxiety that doesn’t come in a pill bottle.

Creativity Flows Like a Mountain Stream

Artists and writers have long sworn by nature walks for inspiration.

Now, imagine adding a microdose to that equation. You might find your creativity flowing as freely as that babbling brook you’re sitting next to.

Navigating Your Free-Range Microdose Experience

Remember, microdosing is all about noticing and experimenting.

Here are some tips to keep in mind next time you go out there.

  1. Choose your setting wisely. Find the most spectacular place you can, it’ll be worth it.
  2. Bring a buddy. It’s always safer (and often more fun) to have a friend along, especially when you’re trying something new.
  3. Stay hydrated. It’s easy to forget the basics when you’re lost in the beauty of nature. Bring water!
  4. Respect Mother Nature. We’re guests in these natural spaces. Practice “Leave No Trace” principles and treat the environment with reverence.
  5. Bring your phone but turn off your phone, be safe but don’t let yourself be distracted from witnessing the magic before you.

Journaling: Your Nature Microdosing Compass

Journaling is a powerful tool for integrating your microdosing experiences. Here are some prompts to get you started on your nature adventure:

  • How do the colours and textures of nature appear to you today?
  • What emotions arise as you connect with the natural world?
  • If the trees/rocks/rivers could speak, what wisdom would they share?

Remember, the magic of microdosing lies in noticing. And what better place to practice awareness than in nature’s living room?

I Was Shocked, You Will Be Too

Not sure if you’ve ever heard of Dr Zach Bush – he’s fascinating on so many levels and will let you discover his work in your own time, but check out this snippet of a conversation he had about plants and their recognition of our presence

I’ve always had hundreds of plant babies and what he shared was a total revelation to me, and as he said at the end, I will never look at forests the same way again.

Your Turn to Explore

Before you head out, be sure to stock up on truffles and maybe even stack them with some cordyceps to give you an extra boost of energy.

Once you’ve got all your goodies, go out there and report back by sharing your experiences in the comments below.

And if you haven’t microdosed in nature yet, why not give it a try?

The trees are waiting for their hugs, the flowers are ready to chat, and who knows what insights Mother Nature might whisper in your ear?
