How does the Beginner Protocol work?
The method is simple and easy to follow: One day on, two days off.
Take a microdose on Day 1, and take a break on Day 2 and Day 3. Then, on Day 4, repeat the process and take a microdose again.
So, in short:
Day 1: Take a microdose.
Day 2: Do not take a microdose.
Day 3: Do not take a microdose.
Day 4: Repeat -> Start on Day 1 again.
Do this for a few weeks and notice how you react. How does it affect your creativity, your productivity, and your mood?
It is common to experience some slight after-effects on the day after taking a microdose (Day 2). On Day 3, you will be back in your normal state. Try to feel the differences between each day, and be sure to take notes.
A good way to measure effects is to track your experiences in a journal or a log. This way you can get more accurate and meaningful insights into your progress over a prolonged period of time.
How does the Advanced Protocol work?
The Advanced Protocol goes as follows: Four days on, three days off.
Take a microdose on Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, and Day 4 and take a break on Day 5, Day 6, and Day 7. Then, on Day 8, repeat the process and take a microdose again.
So, in short:
Day 1: Take a microdose.
Day 2: Take a microdose.
Day 3: Take a microdose.
Day 4: Take a microdose.
Day 5: Do not take a microdose.
Day 6: Do not take a microdose.
Day 7: Do not take a microdose.
Day 8: Repeat -> Start on Day 1 again.
Practice this for 6-10 weeks, then take a month off.
As with the Beginner Protocol, it’s important to track your experiences in a journal or log.
Can you microdose and drive a car?
So, the first experiment for you is to test what’s too much or too little. Of course, you should always try this in a safe environment. As soon as the microdosing is too overwhelming, you have taken too much and should definitely not participate in traffic. To be on the safe side, adhere to our guidelines and regulations.
In addition, ask yourself whether you should want it at all or not. Driving is a practical activity to get you from A to B. Therefore, it should not be a spiritual enrichment that puts you and others at risk.
Advice is also that if you are too tired to drive, you simply should not drive. We do not recommend microdosing with the intention of being able to drive a car due to bad fatigue, bad mood, or intoxication.
Can you microdose and workout?
Microdosing can be a great attribute to your workout, because it provides a boost to your cognitive functions, resulting in better sports performance. For example, you become more aware of your own body and can thus find a better pace in your workout routine.
With the correct dosages, athletes in top sports experience both an improvement in their endurance and in their sporting ability. Talking about concentration, coordination, balance, and reflexes. A word is even mentioned about the well-known flow state, a state in which time feels like slowing down and everything seems to go by itself.
Even the aftereffect can be quite sensational because microdosing can give a clear and relaxed feeling after a workout.
Can you microdose and drink alcohol?
We do not encourage anyone to microdose and drink alcohol at the same time. First and foremost, because our product is not a (party) drug with which you can go all the way down the rabbit hole.
Second, because it can make you sick. Alcohol can help calm your nervous system as you experience the altered reality associated with psychedelics. Too many psychedelics can alter your judgment and perception to a degree that you’ll poison yourself with alcohol.
Finally, the two stimuli also reinforce each other, including when you feel hungover the next day. We, therefore, recommend that you take your microdosing in a sober state so that you can benefit the most from it in your daily life.
When should you stop microdosing?
While microdosing can act as a catalyst to make you more self-aware, more creative, and more productive, its use also has its limits. As with any mind-enhancing substance, it should be used consciously and responsibly, in moderation.
In the case of psilocybin, longer use can make you aimless, manic, and anxious. Of course, you do not have to worry about this. As long as you stick to our 10-cycle guidelines, things won’t get out of hand.
In short: you’ll be wise to stop microdosing after a maximum of three consecutive months. If you then pick up the thread again, our advice is to only deal with a number of periods spread over the year.
How should I take the microdose?
Do you want to get more out of your week right after you have received the order? Then eat the microdose. It sounds more exciting than it is, really. Just remove the microdose from the package, put it in your mouth, chew it, and swallow it.
It’s better to chew, because the active substances are then released, and your body absorbs them more easily. If you are sensitive to dry flavors in your mouth, you can also choose to drink it.
For example, make tea or mix it with your fruit and/or vegetable smoothie. If you opt for the latter, you will at least receive something to fill you up! The effect of psilocybin can be just like alcohol or caffeine more intense for the body on an empty stomach.
How much should I take for my first microdose?
You should always be careful when taking your first microdose. If you have no experience with psychedelics, you probably do not know how you react to them mentally and/or physically.
Factors like your weight, height, age, fitness all play a part in your tolerance. In addition, just like caffeine and alcohol, psilocybin has a stronger effect on your body if you consume it on an empty stomach. So also base the amount of your microdose on how much you have already eaten.
The six Microdose Pro strips all contain 1 gram each. For some people, one may already be too strong. To put things in perspective: with average body weight, you normally have to eat about 3.5 grams of dried mushrooms or truffles to make a psychedelic trip. One where you hallucinate.
Fortunately, given the small doses, taking one strip has no disastrous consequences. You will only notice that you become less focused or productive because the effect of the truffle is too dominant. The main rule is that microdosing should help you focus and concentrate on your work. So in order not to stray off course, it’s better to start small and build up.
At 0.35 gram you can already count on possible mind-altering benefits. We, therefore, recommend that you kick off with a smaller dose of 0.25 gram to 0.5 gram (¼ or ½ of a Microdose Pro strip dose). This way you can gradually sense how your body reacts to it.
How do I start microdosing?
There’s a fixed protocol for making conscious use of all the positive effects of microdosing. For example, it’s wise to determine what exactly you want to get out of it before you start microdosing. Also, write this down to add more structure and clarity to your microdose cycle.
You can then keep a diary in which you briefly reflect on your findings, experiences, and feelings every day. Over time, keeping track of your productivity, mood, and state of mind ensures that you clarify the pros and cons. From there you can even benefit more from your Microdose Pro Pack with small adjustments.
Note to self: do not make yourself dependent on microdoses to get through your day. At all times make sure that it is and remains a stimulant to be even more productive, creative, and energetic.
Based on this intention, always hold yourself accountable for being well-rested before each use. Also, you should be drinking plenty of water, and avoiding crowds or chaos in the form of social environments and obligations, especially on your first day. This way, you can experience and feel the effect of microdosing to its full potential.
Is microdosing addictive?
Even though it has been proven that LSD and truffles do not cause psychological addiction, you should remain alert to your own relationship with psilocybin. The boost in self-confidence and flow can be quite appealing, due to the positive effects of microdosing.
From a spiritual approach, you should always tune into yourself and be honest about your boundaries. Enough is enough. When you use a higher dosage to give mother nature a visit, you’ll likely experience a backlash in your sharpness, perception, and mental state when the trip is over. This is often accompanied by the feeling that you’re completely done with it for a while.
Hence, many of our fellow pros realize that they have no intention of crushing the boundaries of common sense. To help you with this, we have written some microdose techniques that optimize your experience. Just so you can build a lifestyle that goes beyond a microdose regime.
Whether microdosing is addictive depends entirely on your own mental health and your intention of using psilocybin truffles. For example, if you’re struggling with a problem in your life that you cannot solve, such as painful feelings as a result of a trauma, and you let truffles (or any other substance) tempt you to escape this reality every time, then you can speak of addiction.
Microdosing is not addictive to a healthy, conscious, and thinking person. However, the idea of ’a better self’ is. Looking at the stimulant effect of psilocybin purely, it makes sense to ask yourself why you would ever stop using it.
What are magic truffles?
In fact, the truffle is called “sclerotium” (sclerotia in plural). A sclerotium is a thickening of the mycelium, which, as an organ, is used by a mushroom to store its resources. Funny thing is that the truffles look like small nuts.
Sclerotia are part of the life cycle of the fungus and their function is to store nutrients so that the mushroom can survive bad conditions. Think of a shortage of water, extreme temperatures, or excessive moisture.
Due to their effect, psilocybin truffles are also called magic truffles. Basically they are exactly the same product we sell as microdoses at Microdose Pro. The ‘magic’ happens through the psychedelic effect, which is experienced more intensely when taking higher doses.
When taken with a conscious intention in a responsible manner, with our micro dosages Psilocybe Mexicana sclerotia, it’s like you’re taking a piece of controlled magic every time. Mainly to be more productive and creative than you normally already are.
What is the effect of microdosing on my brain?
The reason people microdose psilocybin or LSD several times a week has everything to do with how it influences our brains. While it doesn’t make a significant difference to our consciousness, it does boost our mood, focus, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
The most logical explanation for these enhancements is a reinforcement of the cognitive functions. Basically, because your serotonergic 5-HT2A receptors are shaken a little. This increases the glutamate cell activity in the frontal cortex, which means that you call on your memory more quickly, in order to provide better solutions in a shorter amount of time.
Another important aspect of the effects of LSD and psilocybin on our brain is their ability to reset our typical cognition control systems. Several studies have shown the effects these psychedelics have on our Default-Mode Network (DMN). This is a system in the brain that’s active when you are at rest. This increased activity can lead to introspection, daydreaming, or spontaneous thoughts. The DMN has also been shown to be overactive in depression.
In fact, DMN communication is associated with individual differences in intelligence and efficiency. The ability of psychedelics to reset your DMN is related to the creative and spiritual insights they stimulate. So when you microdose, you sort of dampen your DMN consistencies, giving you easier access to your creative outbursts. Therefore, it’s likely that microdosing will give us easier access to higher creativity due to consistent DMN damping.
Does the package fit through the letterbox?
Our service is optimized in such a way that you can start microdosing as soon as possible. Your order will be packed in a package that fits through a normal letterbox at all times. This way, the process will not be delayed in the event that you are unable to receive it.
Can I microdose while on antibiotics?
As with alcohol or other drugs, it’s inadvisable to combine your microdosing of psychedelics with antibiotics.
Why? Your brain is full of neurons. These cells communicate with each other through synapses. If you take multiple types of drugs, communication through this system can be disrupted by stimuli or mutes, depending on the type of neurotransmitters.
Your immune system can also be triggered by the effects of psychedelics. If you combine this with other medications, chances are that your temperature will rise, that you’ll get nauseous, or feel really bad.
Of course, there are certain combinations that will easily go together without any consequences. Still, just to be better safe than sorry, please follow our advice, and postpone your microdosing until you have finished your course.
In case you’d like to give it a try anyway, always consult your doctor first, or check this list from James Fadiman with drugs and supplements. Also, if you go for it, always make sure to drink plenty of water to clean your kidneys.
Can I microdose if I have ADHD?
Although there’s no clinical proof of the medicinal effect of psychedelics, multiple experts state that microdosing can be really beneficial for people with ADHD or ADD.
First and foremost, Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is not a disorder, but a difference in your cognition. Just remember that microdosing psilocybin truffles or LSD affects your focus, creativity, and mood.
If you take these benefits up into the equation with concentration problems and procrastination, you could say that microdosing is a great and efficient solution to be productive throughout the day. For this reason, there are even examples where these psychedelics are a suitable replacement for ADHD medications and other pharmaceutical cognitive enhancers, such as Ritalin, Adderall, and methylphenidate.
In addition, regular medicines do not always have the desired effect. Moreover, the number of doctors who pledge allegiance to microdosing psychedelics is increasing.
Nevertheless, due to the lack of thorough research, we cannot provide medical advice based on clinical evidence. Therefore, at all times you should take responsibility for your use of Microdose Pro if diagnosed with ADHD / ADD. Whether it’s by making your own decisions based on a consultation with your doctor, or by doing your own examination.
Should the microdoses be kept in the refrigerator?
To maintain the effects and potency of the microdoses, it’s best to keep them in the refrigerator. When sealed (vacuumed), they will remain good for up to two months.
As long as you keep them in a cool, dry, and dark place, such as your refrigerator, you will minimize the risk of rot or a reduction in their psilocybin content. In the end, we’re just talking about a fungus here. Therefore, the storage of the psychedelics requires a temperature between 2 and 4 degrees C.
Avoid freezing at all costs and leave the strips in their packaging, as the refrigerator can collect excessive moisture. In view of contaminants, this causes damage to the mushrooms, which won’t do your experience any good.
Is microdosing legal?
Microdosing is completely legal in The Netherlands because magic truffles (Psilocybe Tampanensis) grow out of the ground. Due to this natural process, the firmer and drier psychedelic fungus is not seen as a mushroom and therefore does not fall under the mushroom law.
With their entry on list 2 of the Opium Act, magic mushrooms are prohibited to grow, sell, or buy in the Netherlands. This is because the chemical compounds in the two natural products, ‘psilocin’ and ‘psilocybin’, are on list 1 of the Opium Act.
Nevertheless, despite the fungi containing the same psychoactive chemicals, there have been no fatalities by the use of truffles in the Netherlands.
For this reason, the truffles get a pass, especially because the effects don’t seem to be dangerous. As a matter of fact, Dutch research has not even been able to establish an association between active substances and mental or physical addiction.
Is microdosing harmful during pregnancy?
To be honest there’s no clinical research showing that psychedelics can be harmful during pregnancy, whether it’s about pregnancy complications for the mother, or about the baby’s brain or development.
The medical literature, however, suggests that minimal damage may occur. Thus, the decision to use substances remains one for you to take as an individual.
Based on common sense, you could say that pregnancy is already a vulnerable period in life. So when it comes to magic truffles, it’s worth considering whether you should give it a go while pregnant.
A small reminder, it’s not without reason that mothers consciously choose not to consume alcohol or other intoxicants during pregnancy. Considering what’s at stake, it’s unwise to take a possible risk with truffles.
Where do the psilocybin truffles come from?
Our truffles are grown under perfect conditions in the Netherlands so that we can deliver them to your door as fresh as possible.
Who uses psilocybin truffles?
Cave paintings from 9.000 BC tell us that indigenous Saharan tribes in North Africa may have used magic mushrooms.
In the meantime, peoples such as the Mayans and Aztecs have used this natural product in religious ceremonies. Probably to get in touch with nature and to talk to the gods.
Statues dating back 1.800 years have even been found in a West Mexican shack, honoring human’s relationship with “Psilocybe Mexicana”. This is the kind of funghi that we also use today.
Just this year, Netflix posted a documentary online entitled “Have a good trip”. Creative geniuses like ASAP Rocky, Sting, and Anthony Bourdain zoom in on the recreational, medicinal, and mind-enhancing effects.
Because the mind-altering effects of psilocybin have been used for multiple era’s, the question is no longer who uses it, but why. Microdose Pro is for the self-conscious performer who wants to hack their productivity, creativity, and mood, to get more out of daily life. How long will the truffles keep?
When the strips of microdoses are still in the package, you can keep them for 2 months. Once out of the package, strips can keep for up to 2 weeks.
