3 Ways to Consume Psilocybin Truffles

Consume Truffles

Many people have heard me compare microdosing to chicken soup. We all know what it is and yet we each have our own unique recipe for it.

Microdosing is also defined as the art of both noticing and experimentation. At every step of the way, we notice how we feel while continuing to experiment.

Experimentation on our ideal sweet spot dose, dosing protocol, or different consumption methods.

Now that we are all caught up on the sweet spot and various possible protocols, let’s look at the different ways we can consume our psilocybin truffles.

1. The Classic Approach: Eating Them Raw

The most direct route to experiencing the wonders of psilocybin truffles is simply by eating them raw.

This method is straightforward—measure your dose, and consume.

The earthy, nutty, sometimes bitter flavors are part of the experience, a reminder of the natural world from which this magic springs.

For those who wish to walk the path as our ancestors did, this method connects you directly to the essence of the earth.

2. Tea Time: Brewing Up A Storm

For those who find the taste of raw truffles less than ideal, brewing tea might be your preferred method.

This method is a beautiful ritual, turning the preparation into a meditative practice, setting your intentions, and gently easing you into the experience.

For added convenience, you can also use our very own Flow State Tea

If you don’t have any fresh truffles, no problem, use Flow Tea. No need to weigh your dosage. Just add hot water and enjoy!

3. Chocolates

Combining psilocybin truffles with chocolate not only masks the earthy taste but also adds a touch of sweetness to your journey.

Cacao and psilocybin have a long history of use in ceremonies, particularly in indigenous cultures.

The Aztecs, for example, consumed psilocybin mushrooms, known as “teonanácatl,” during nighttime ceremonies and festivals, often in combination with chocolate and honey.

Cacao is known for its psychoactive effects as a mood enhancer. Cacao is rich in antioxidants, and minerals, and theobromine, a mild psychoactive and mood enhancer.

So it’s safe to say that cacao and psilocybin share a history and are a potent combination.

Always Do What Works for You

When it comes to mushrooms, there is not ONE single way to do anything.

Most of the time, best results are when the truffles are swallowed whole (not chewed) with some water.

One of our community members microdoses by nestling her truffles dose into a fresh banana in the morning. Another wraps the truffle into a cherry tomato.

Some eat them raw and others make a warm delicious drink.

If you are already chewing the truffles and that works for you, then that’s ok too.

Having said that, how do you consume your truffles? You know I’m SO curious! Tell me in the comments below.

As always,

Shine bright. Do good. Flow strong.

      Hi Buba,

If you have been chewing them and that has worked for you, then yes, continue doing that. Then you can have some water.

Chewing makes the effects happen faster, but swallowing is a slower release of the compounds.

  • Yeah that’s also my question :). If I swallow them in one piece is there no lesser effect or will it only take more time? Greetings from Germany

      Hi Simon,

If you swallow them without chewing they still have an effect, it will just be slower throughout the day and less intense than if chewing.

      Hi Bobby,

Some like to chew them but others find that the taste is unpleasant. If you’ve been swallowing them whole and that is working nicely for you, then continue.
